Elizabeth Dorbad is a sculptor and installation artist based of Oakland, California. She exhibits and serves as an artist-in-residence internationally. In 2008, Dorbad was the curator for Are You Building an Ark? which featured the sculpture, paining, assemblage, film and video works of eight California artists. She recently received Art Interview Magazine's firs prize and will be participating in the forthcoming biennial exhibition in Berlin, Germany. Her work is currently showing at Mark Wolfe Contemporary in San Francisco and is included in the traveling U.S. exhibition, Some Assembly Required: Race, Gender and Globalization.
